CHU (N6) Medium is a plant tissue culture medium originally developed for the anther and pollen culture of rice and other cereal crops. It is characterized by a relatively high nitrate content and a nitrogen composition optimized for monocotyledonous plants. The medium provides balanced macro- and micronutrients that support callus induction and subsequent plant regeneration. Compared with Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium, N6 medium is particularly effective for gramineous species.
